Denise Schwieterman, Brooke Klosterman

Strength of team

Quickness

Weakness of team

Ability to get to the foul line

MAC outlook

"I see Minster, Versailles and Ft. Recovery as the teams to shoot for throughout the season. They all have some very strong returning players."

Goals for this season

"Compete day in and day out. Play with passion, toughness and enthusiasm."

First scheduled game

Saturday, November 26, 2016

Ft. Recovery

Returning players

Sr- Whitney Will 6'0 F
Sr- Jocelyn Kaiser 5'9 G
Sr- Audra Metzger 5'5 G
Jr- Grace Thien 5'10 G
Jr- Carley Stone 5'8 G
Jr- Kiah Wendel 5'5 G
Key player(s) lost

Kendra Siefring 6'2 C

New additons you are counting on

Fr- Brooke Kahlig 5'5 G
Fr- Olivia Patch 6'1 C
Fr- Val Muhlenkamp 5'10 F
Strength of team

Our returning players have a lot of experience and we return a large percentage of all statistical categories. We return 4 players who will have 3 years of varsity playing time. Our guard play should be a key for us on both ends of the floor.

Weakness of team

Lack of depth could cause us problems if our Freshmen don't develop.

Conference outlook

We hope to compete for the MAC title as we did last year. We feel we return enough players who have been through the battles and know what it takes to get us back to that level.

Goals for this season

We want to improve with every opportunity we have in practice and games we play. We want to be the best we can be by the time the season ends and enjoy the progress we make throughout the season. We hope we can compete for a MAC title in the process.

First scheduled game

Home vs Crestview Dec 1

Other comments

Whitney Will signed with St Francis. Coach Patch is 5 wins away from 200 wins.

Marion Local

Head Coach Beth Streib

Returning players

Sr. Macey Griesdorn, Sr. Sarah Fesenmyer, Sr. Jessie Kramer, Sr. Chloe Bertke, Jr. Kara Evers, Soph. Natalie Rethman

Key player(s) lost

Emily Mescher - leading scorer and rebounder
Allie Prueter- led team in 3 pointers made
New additons you are counting on

Kara Evers - played behind Emily last year, looking for her to come on strong in the post

Natalie Rethman- played off the bench last year, look for her to be more of a scoring threat this year

All four seniors are very versatile and will be looked upon for leadership on and off of the floor.

Jr. Adaline Mescher and Jr.
Morgan Heckman - post
Jr. Emily Kahlig- guard
Strength of team

I believe we are very versatile. We have girls that can play many different positions. Hoping also we can be a good 3 point shooting team this year. Also having a returning point guard always helps.

Weakness of team

Size (height) and strength in the post. Losing Emily Mescher as our leading rebounder, we need to be ready to rebound more as a team and not rely on 1 person.

Conference outlook

MAC is always a tough conference and we hope to be able to compete each and every game. Minster has a lot of talent returning along with Ft. Recovery and New Bremen. Versailles and New Knoxville are always fundamentally sound as well. You can never take a league opponent lightly.

Goals for this season

We want to compete in each and every game and have a chance to win it at the end of the game. We also want to compete for the MAC title and get better each game as a team to make a tournament run at the end of the season.

First scheduled game

Saturday Nov. 26th at Celina Tip-off Tourney

Parkway

Head Coach Linda Hawk

Returning players

Senior - Kaylee Heindel
Juniors - Bailey Bates, Sydney Couch, Haley Hawk
Sophomores - Allie Ford, Stephanie Schaaf
Key player(s) lost

Samantha Wehe, Ashley Clark, Shelbe Eddington

"These were our leaders from last year."

New additons you are counting on

"We have a talented freshman class (10 players) that are willing to work hard. Many of these girls spend extra time in the gym to improve their game. These girls have a strong work ethic. We will count on several of these girls to give us valuable minutes at the varsity level."

Strength of team

"Our team this year is not afraid to work hard. We discussed that we have to push ourselves and each other to become a better team. Effort is key this year to become a good defensive team. Our other strength is our returning senior and juniors who are all capable of scoring."

Weakness of team

"With only six upper class men, we are young and only have four players who have had varsity experience. I look for the experienced players to take control, and as the season progresses, I look for the younger players to make an impact."

MAC outlook

"The MAC is always tough and we have not competed well in the conference in recent years. Our goal is to be more competitive this year in the MAC.'

Goals for this season

"We need to get back to fundamentals and do the little things better. We are focusing on becoming a much better defensive team which will allow us to stay with teams we could not compete with in the past. Effort is something we discuss every day in practice. Our goals are to improve our fundamentals, become a better defensive team and give more effort than we did the day before.

First scheduled game

11/25/16 - Mississinawa Valley
