Jay County Head Coach Fred Medler(Abby Barcus - OH - Jay County)
Abby is a terrific young lady, great team-mate, and student (4.0+). She has worked extremely hard to develop herself into a tremendous volleyball player putting in untold hours of time in the off-season. She is a great all-round player. Abby led us in kills and digs, served 92%.
This summer she was an All American at the AAU Nationals, was on the Junior All Star last year and All Conference the past three years.

St. Henry Head Coach Tricia Rosenbeck(Olivia Niekamp - OPP, OH - St. Henry)
Olivia Niekamp has played a significant role on the St. Henry volleyball team the past 2 seasons. She was an integral piece of our state runner-up team in 2015. This season she was a team captain and a leader for our team. She was our "go-to" hitter and led our team in kills with 278. Next year she will be continuing her volleyball career at Indiana Tech and will be majoring in elementary education.
Coldwater Head Coach Nikki Etzler(Allison Sudhoff - RS, OH, MB - Coldwater)
We are so excited for Allison Sudhoff to be recognized by the Stateline Sports Network. She has had an incredible season! Alli's role for our team at the beginning of the season was to play Right Side Attacker/Blocker. However, with the injury to our All-State Middle, Paige Hartings, Alli was put to the challenge of becoming our go-to middle attacker/blocker. She has worked incredibly hard to be the best middle attacker/blocker for our team. Alli's attention to detail in her footwork, communication, and transition into attacking has been top-notch! Every day in practice, she strives to push herself to get better!! She also keeps her teammates accountable in all aspects of the game. She is the player who wants more reps, wants to be challenged, and makes everyone around her better!!
Bellmont Head Coach Craig Krull(Saige Jauregui - MH - Bellmont)
Saige Jauregui has been a consistent middle hitter on the Bellmont varsity volleyball team for the past three years. She worked hard everyday and followed the leadership of the middle hitters before her. Saige improved every year to get to the point she is at now. Her senior year she became a more dominant player in the middle, she was second with 325 kills and she led the team with 63.5 blocks. Her attitude and work ethic was one that every coach would like to see from their players and Saige would be a great addition to any team. She used her size and speed to score quick points and her strength allowed her to overpower the defenders that stood in her way. Saige showed the desire and work ethic it takes to be a player on the Bellmont varsity team and the future middles had a great role model to watch and learn from.
Marion Local Head Coach Erica Schulze(Kylie Albers - OH - Marion Local)
This season was Kylie's first season on varsity. She ended the season with 254 kills averaging 3.2 kills per set. She helped lead Marion Local to a Co-MAC Championship with an 8-1 MAC recorded. The Flyers ended the season with a 17-7 record. This season Kylie earned 1st Team All MAC and 1st Team District 8.
Adams Central Head Coach Alex Fuelling(Makenzie Barger -MB - Adams Central)
Parkway Head Coach Jordan Henkle(Clista Hellwarth - MH - Parkway)
Clista was a senior team captain for our team this year. She led us in Kills with 235 on the season. She also led the team in kill percentage at .345%. Clista led the team in total blocks with 54 on the season. She started the season with an injury but once she started to get healthy she became a go to player for us.
South Adams Head Coach Ashley Buckingham(Julia Grabau - Setter - South Adams)
Julia is well deserving for the honor of being selected as part of this team for she helped lead the Starfires this year to a 26-8 season record and a Regional Championship. Julia has been the Varsity setter for 2 years and she has continued to grow as a player and develop not only her setting ability but her team leadership during this time. This season she had 867 assists which were the catalyst for our teams offense. She is a smart setter with a strong desire to help our team through scrappy play and competitive spirit. Julia also lead our teams this season with 89 service aces and she was a great defensive player with 169 digs. Julia is truly an impact player and she will be an anchor for our team in the 2017 volleyball season. We are excited to see her continue to push herself towards success and help her teammate reach their potential each match.
Celina Head Coach Amy SutterAlyssa Hoyng - MH - Celina
Alyssa Hoyng has been our go to hitter for the past three seasons. She is a fighter in every sense of the word...she wants to know everything there is to know about her position, she wants to be pushed, she wants to practice hard, she wants to put the ball away on both offense and defense, and she wants to take care of her teammates and be a great leader...whatever is needed in the fight to make her team succeed.
Alyssa is a three year varsity starter in the Middle Hitter position, and a Captain for us this year. She earned both WBL and District 8 First Team honors in 2015 and in 2016. As a senior, she lead the team in both kills and blocks with 284 and 101, respectively. She will graduate with a career total of 695 kills and 234 termination blocks.
Although volleyball is her main sport, she is a very capable track athlete as well. She is a multi-talented Scholar Athlete, National Honor Society member, Senior class Vice President, and WBL Sportsmanship Committee member among many other things. Alyssa plans on continuing her education and her volleyball career at Ohio Dominican University next fall. We will all deeply miss her work ethic and her enthusiasm for the game next year. She was a joy to coach.
