(9-17-16) - Tim Goodwin's first coaching win at Marion Local was a double-overtime win over defending state champion, Versailles in 1999. Since that time he has racked up a 199 more as the Flyers' Head man. Last night he picked up win #200 over Minster 44-6. It was a big bounce back win for Goodwin and his team, after a tough loss to Coldwater the week before.

With the win he is now 200-43 in his Flyer career, which includes five MAC Titles (2001, 07, 11, 13 and 14), eight State titles (2000, 01, 06, 07, 11, 12, 13 and 14). How tough is the MAC? Goodwin has won more state titles than MAC titles.

The 43 losses include two that took place in a State title game (2003 and 2015).

Goodwin is easily the #1 winningest coach in Flyer History, behind him is Ken Meyer (1978-1996) who won 121 career games and ML's first ever play-off game.

Goodwin, coached for five seasons at Bluffton before moving over to Marion Local, he also is the principal at the High School.
